If you want to experience the mystical architecture of the Black Sea in its purest form, I think Serender Bungalov is one of the most authentic stops in Rize. Sleeping in these traditional structures (Serender/Nayla) built on high stilts, almost suspended in the air, makes one feel like traveling back to the past. Frankly, when you wake up in the morning, the unique smell of wood and the misty mountain view from the window make you forget all the chaos of city life. My favorite moment was sitting on that cute balcony meters above the ground, sipping my tea while listening to the sound of the stream flowing below. To tell you the truth, looking down on the fierce nature of the Black Sea and feeling that "sheltered" feeling is great peace. Based on my experience, this is a great sanctuary for those who are bored with modern concrete piles and are looking for a nostalgic holiday intertwined with culture and nature.
