Combining the peace of the riverside with pool pleasure in the lush nature of Kocaeli, Bağdat Resort is one of the most established and reliable escape points in the region in my opinion. The large land and the sound of water welcoming you when you enter the facility take away all your tiredness in the city. To tell you the truth, swimming in that large pool on hot summer days and then cooling off at the tables by the stream is a priceless therapy. The wooden texture and simplicity inside the bungalows offer a holiday away from ostentation but comfortable. The taste of the trout in tile and fresh appetizers they offer at dinner is still on my palate. Frankly, it is one of the rare places suitable for both families and couples, feeling so much in nature while being only an hour away from Istanbul.
